But we don't automatically replace shocks or struts because your vehicle reaches a particular mileage.

Power Steering Repair
Depending on the vehicle, steering assistance may be provided by a traditional hydraulic power steering system or an electric power steering system.
Hydraulic Power Steering
Traditional hydraulic systems may include components such as:

Possible problems can include leaks, worn components, pump problems, contaminated fluid, or other hydraulic concerns.
If the power steering fluid is low, we don't want to simply add fluid and consider the problem solved.
We want to know why it's low.
Electric Power Steering
Many newer vehicles use electric power steering, commonly called EPS.
These systems use electric assistance rather than a conventional belt-driven hydraulic pump and may not have power steering fluid at all.
That means diagnosing a steering-assist concern on a newer vehicle can be very different from servicing a traditional hydraulic system.
We'll evaluate what type of system your vehicle uses and determine whether the concern falls within the services we perform.
If a problem requires specialized programming or another service outside our capabilities, we'll be upfront about it.
Power Steering Fluid Service
Some vehicles with hydraulic power steering may require fluid maintenance.
We don't automatically recommend a power steering fluid “flush” every two years or at an arbitrary mileage.
Whether service makes sense depends on factors such as:

- Fluid condition
- Maintenance history
- Manufacturer information
- Evidence of contamination
- Repairs being performed
- Overall system condition

Steering & Suspension Noises
Clunks, knocks, squeaks, rattles, chirps, and other noises can be frustrating because they aren't always easy to pinpoint.
If you're hearing a noise, try to notice when it occurs.
For example:

- Turning the steering wheel
- Braking
- Accelerating
- Driving at low speeds
- Driving over uneven roads

- Only while turning in one direction
You don't need to determine which component is making the noise.
