KG Automotive Solutions didn't begin as the facility you see today.

There was no large shop, polished waiting area, growing team, or full-service automotive operation.

It started in 2013 with a small two-bay shop, a passion for vehicles, and a commitment to doing quality work.

More than a decade later, a lot has changed.

The principles behind the business haven't.

2013 — Where It All Began

KG Automotive Solutions began in June 2013 when owner Ryan Kottke opened a small, run-down two-bay shop in Swanzey, New Hampshire.

Back then, we were known as KG Performance.

The shop primarily focused on performance vehicles for friends, local customers, and fellow automotive enthusiasts.

It was a small operation built around a genuine passion for cars, but customers quickly began recognizing something else: attention to detail, quality work, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Those early relationships became the foundation for everything that followed.

Growing Skills & Expanding Services

As KG grew, so did our capabilities.

Ryan developed a strong interest in powder coating and committed himself to learning the process.

The beginning was anything but elaborate.

He started with two small kitchen ovens.

Through education, experimentation, practice, and a commitment to producing consistent work, that new skill developed into another part of the growing KG business.

Eventually, it became KG Coatings, which today operates as its own standalone sister company.

Listening to Our Customers

Meanwhile, something else was changing.

Customers who trusted KG with their specialty and performance vehicles began asking us to take care of their everyday vehicles, too.

Their daily drivers.

Their trucks.

Their family vehicles.

As customers continued to return and recommend KG to others, it became clear there was a growing need for dependable everyday automotive repair from a shop people felt they could trust.

That customer demand helped shape the next chapter of KG.

2019 — Expanding Into Automotive Repair

In 2019, KG opened a dedicated automotive repair facility in Troy, New Hampshire.

The response was immediate.

The automotive side of the business quickly gained traction and reinforced something we'd already begun to understand:

Customers weren't simply looking for someone who could fix cars.

They wanted a shop that combined technical ability with honesty, communication, attention to detail, and genuine customer care.

And before long, we needed more room.

2020 — Building Our Home in Fitzwilliam

In 2020, KG purchased the property that would become our current home in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire.

Calling it an automotive facility at the time would have been generous.

The building was an old wood mill that had primarily been used for storage. It had no insulation, no heat, and minimal electrical infrastructure.

There was a lot of work ahead.

Through extensive renovations, long hours, and teamwork, that bare-bones mill was transformed into the automotive facility we proudly operate today.

And all of it happened during the same year COVID-19 changed businesses and communities across the country.

Despite the uncertainty, KG continued moving forward.

From KG Performance to KG Automotive Solutions

As the years passed, our business continued to evolve.

Performance work will always be part of our roots, but our customers were showing us where KG could make the biggest impact.

The future wasn't simply about building faster cars.

It was about building a better automotive repair experience.

Our focus increasingly shifted toward professional automotive repair, diagnostics, maintenance, tires, alignments, rust prevention, and the everyday vehicle needs of the customers and communities around us.

That evolution ultimately led to the name that better represents who we are today:

KG Automotive Solutions.

Where We Are Today

Today, KG Automotive Solutions is a full-service automotive repair and maintenance facility in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire.

We've invested in professional equipment, technology, training, processes, our facility, and a growing team of people committed to taking care of our customers and their vehicles.

But some of the things we're proudest of can't be measured by the size of our building or the equipment inside it.

We're proud to still take care of customers who first walked through our doors in 2013.

We're proud when those customers send their friends and family to us.

We're proud of the team that has helped KG grow.

And we're proud that something that started in a run-down two-bay shop has become a business capable of providing careers for our team and automotive care for our community.

Still Growing. Still Improving.

We don't consider KG a finished product.

The automotive industry changes.

Technology changes.

Vehicles change.

Customer expectations change.

And we believe a good business should keep getting better.

We'll continue investing in our people, improving our processes, adopting technology that helps us serve customers better, and looking for ways to raise the standard of automotive service.

But as KG continues to grow, the foundation remains remarkably similar to what it was back in 2013:

Treat people right.

Do things the right way.

That's where we started.

And that's where we're headed.
